Happy Thanksgiving

Today is the big turkey day where everything falls into place (we hope) for a wonderful family gathering. We put so much work into the preparation of this meal, with shopping and decorating and cooking for days ahead. My wish for you is that you can sit down and relax as the family gathers around your table. The most important part of the day is to enjoy your family, and not worry about how perfect every dish turned out.

Happy Thanksgiving to all! I hope you have as many things to be thankful for today as I do.

Ride On Little Ones!

Christmas is coming and we have so many choices when we start shopping for our children and grandchildren. There are all of those toys with multiple little pieces. There are toys with batteries to replace and then there are those old fashioned ride on toys that we loved when we were little ourselves. I can remember the rocking horse that I got for Christmas when I was three years old. It was the source of great fun and imaginary rides across the prairie. I love the idea of not having toys with hundreds of little pieces and batteries to replace on a weekly basis. Or worse yet, the toys just get tossed in the closet and forgotten. For a gift they definitely won't forget, shop our fabulous selection of ride on toys at http://www.stylishtots.com/.

Bloggers Unite for Refugees

I just want to join in the discussion about refugees. Today as bloggers unite, we hope to make the world more aware of the injustices to refugees around the world. Living in the warm comfortable homes that we do, we forget about those who are less fortunate and have had to leave their homes around the world. Some must leave because of war, some because of famine, and others who have been displace for numerous reasons. As loving and giving human beings we need to reach out to help those in need.

Be sure to visit www.refugeesunited.org to learn how you can make a difference.

Affordable Decor in These Tough Economic Times

When times are tough, we all feel a little down about life. When need something to help us feel renewed without breaking the bank. As we tighten our pocketbooks and plan on spending more time at home, creating a warm and comfortable home can make us feel better about life in general.

We have discovered a great new line of afforadable framed artwork prints that can give you a whole new look with your home decor. With a variety of home decor styles represented, you have so many options to choose from. I am a traditionalist and love landscapes and scenery, but this particular print really caught my eye. This could work so well with many home decor styles including traditional, modern, and ecclectic. This picture is entitled a Shimmering Forest by Heather Ross and sells for $145.00.

What a beautiful and serene picture to set the scene for a warm and inviting home. Be sure to visit us at www.stylishhomeandgift.com to see our entire selection of affordable art.
